Allison Cole is an award-winning illustrator, educator, and surface designer based in Rhode Island whose work spans children’s illustration, editorial projects, fine art, and licensing. Her distinctive art, with its bold color and rich texture, has been recognized by 3x3 Illustration Annual, American Illustration, Uppercase Magazine, and Hii Illustration, and has adorned everything from the aisles of Target and West Elm to the pages of Scholastic and The Washington Post. Beyond her own creations, she dedicates time to sharing her hard-won wisdom through workshops and online courses, teaching undergraduates as an adjunct professor at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and mentoring artists through Mass MoCA’s Assets for Artists program. Her primary aim as an artist is to create work that entertains, informs, and offers a genuine moment of connection.
