Taking strolls in the forest, listening to the chirping of insects and birds, photographing beautiful flowers, and sipping hot tea are Cécile Metzger’s favorite pastimes. Inspired by nature, her works primarily feature plants, animals, and whimsical landscapes.

Originally from France, Metzger currently lives in Madrid, Spain, and has been working as a freelance illustrator since late 2017. She has collaborated with well-known brands such as Anthropologie, Dessain & Tolra, and Weiss. Since 2018, she has created three picture books and illustrated nine others.
